  This was the first time I had attended an expo of any kind at your facility and I can honestly say that it was very disappointing. As there was plenty of space, I was surprised that all the vendors were tucked basically on top of each other, made it very difficult to move around. The only reason I can see that this was done is to make it appear that there were more vendors then there were. Also, Cash only – in today’s electronic environment why wouldn’t your venue be in a position to take Visa and/or Debit machine. I understand that their was a ATM machine for a nice fee.

  A venue on the waterfront near Pier 21. Typically this venue is used for large events and galas. Funny thing about the venue... it is build on the halifax waterfront... incase of flooding the buildings floor is angled a little bit to ensure the water leaves.

  Good venue for trade shows. Often something interesting to see. Home show, wedding shows. Good location.

  Good venue for events. Catered food is good, and staff was friendly and helpful.

  I think it's terrible that people pay large amounts of money for wedding receptions, birthdays etc, and the food here is prepared up to 3 days in advance of the event and just reheated or steamed to bring back the moisture and freshness. I have it in good authority from someone that works in this kitchen that the food waste is through the roof! After events any food that was prepared and not used is thrown out, the people that paid for the food don't get to take it home if that's what they choose, the staff can't eat it or take it home not is it offered to homeless shelters or soup kitchens. I'm talking trays of appetisers, trays of sandwiches, desserts, main courses all that were never touched just thrown out because it's extra, you would think it could be put to better use than just the landfill. Sarah the sous chef has the most piss poor attitude and degrades the kitchen staff but nothing gets done because she is friends with Chef. People should do some research into this place and find out how things are done in this kitchen, some of the things will make your hair stand on end, no wonder the staff have to sign confidential agreements!
