  Very friendly staff. Very clean and nice room. parking underground was nice and included. We are here on a weekend. But the book says weekdays they have a free limo service to downtown

  I stayed here for a week when I was a newly admitted international student at Dalhousie University. The hotel staff were quite friendly and polite. They also helped me navigate the city including directions to the university and nearby grocery stores and restaurants. Room rates include breakfast and appetizers. The facilities were incredible and include a swimming pool, jacuzzi and car parking although there was no bell boy when I was staying.

  The Atlantica Hotel is conveniently situated kitty-corner to the Halifax Commons. It's a 10 minute walk to the Citadel and 15 to the Historic Properties. Nearby (in the opposite direction) are numerous restaurants, a pharmacy and Canadian Tire; all within a 5 minute walk. The room was spacious and comfortable, but a bit dated. There was some noise from the ambulances arriving at the nearby hospital. Breakfast was quite good, and included with our room. The swimming pool was quite large, and also deep. It started at 4' and quickly dropped to 8'6". The pool was good for laps, but not for children. There was also a wading pool for toddlers and a 6-person hot tub. A small fitness center is adjacent to the pool. Overall a good value and we would stay again.

  If there is an event at the Halifax Common. You will be right around the corner. Pool area is awesome. Hot tub at 39C, large and deep and heated pool. Plus 0.5m deep toddler pool. Wow.
